Poker Aces – the right way to gamble them
Poker Aces references two aces dealt before theflop. It is the best possible pre-flop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this many gamblers end up on the losing end when dealt this hand.
When you’re dealt a pair of Aces, you just don’t drop out pre-flop. You are positioned with the greatest achievable hand at this part of the game. So how do you gamble with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.
Keep in mind, you are looking to earn as much profit out of this strong position. You need to maximise the opportunity. Going all-in will basically scare most players into folding and not placing a bet.
If you are in the starting seat (first or 2nd to place a wager), you’ll make a single wager. Anyone with a good hand will call, hopefully someone will raise. If someone has made a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your course of action will be to eliminate anybody that might get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you’re fortunate you will fool 1 player into believing that you are faking it.
If you are in the middle or late position (one of the last to cast your bet) you’ll observe as everyone calls and then raise. Even though you’re holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Guard your hand by making others to fold following the flop. If you do not get rid of your competition you risk squandering your hand.
